Do whatever is life enhancing.

Artist- Fahren Feingold

I first came across Fahren’s illustrations in water colour on social media. What struck me about her work was the contrast of romanticism and erotica so deeply entwined in her style. Based in LA, the artist paints her subjects from images but adds her own imagination to the piece which I love. I feel her art is not just the female form, it’s a deeper story. It’s a story that’s a little naughty, it’s open and the lightness draws you in. These are some of the artists pieces I love.

Design- Halo On Mount

Our Baltinas development Halo on Mount is positioned on the leafy tree lined Mount Street West Perth. The building sits at the base of Perth’s Kings Park Botanic gardens, which we took inspiration from when selecting materials to fit out the Penthouse North.
The palette had to have unique elements and textures but still classic and functional so it would appeal to a buyer when it went out to the market.

We selected a warm Blackbutt solid timber flooring throughout the living spaces and a large format cool grey tile to the winter gardens and rooftop terrace.

The living space was designed with a 3.5m high ceiling and incorporated highlight windows which connected you to the rooftop terrace. This also allowed for maximum light into the home. Classic furniture pieces were selected such as the Eames Lounge Chair with Ottoman which is not only timeless but elegant much like the property itself.

The kitchen was sleek and functional. All the Miele appliances were integrated for a seamless look and the over head cabinetry was electric for ease of use. The stone selected was from Bernini and it was a New York marble. The cabinetry was a timber veneer in a black satin finish. The kitchen dining table and chairs were from Walter Knoll and the chairs were my favourite!

The New York Marble was carried into the master ensuite. The veins in the stone looked like artwork. They were rich, defined and book matched throughout. The floor had underfloor heating so it was luxurious under foot on the cold winter mornings! The circular window framed the views up to Kings Park.

Finally the jewel in the crown was the rooftop terrace pool deck. This was the wow factor and the selling point of the home. The pool was lined with a turquoise mosaic tile and had a feature glass front panel. The landscaping was specifically chosen to accommodate for weather exposure and still be green and luscious through the summer months.
Velo- French for ‘Bike’

The mixed use development site is located in the Perth inner city suburb of Northbridge. A vibrant, eclectic melting pot of old meets new design. The design was focused around sustainability with the use of solar panels, water harvesting tanks, low VOC materials and encouraging owners to embrace car-less living. Adopting practices like riding a bicycle daily or driving an electric vehicle were relatively new for Perth at the time.
We wanted the interiors base palette to be a mix of light and dark options, modern, practical and sleek. It had to appeal to the younger buyer and the investor demographic who want a finished product that is easy to rent.
