My Autumn Additions

Even though we are yet to see the cooler weather here in Perth, summer is officially over and it’s time to start introducing your change of season fashion pieces into your routine. YAY! I love the cooler months, layering is so effortless and I like adding textures to my look. The pieces I’m now including into my daily looks are light knits, collared shirts, boots and a trench coat. Your denim pieces will start to be on high rotation again and I love that belt bags are here to stay, still on trend for the coming seasons. See some of my favourite Autumn pieces here and I’ve styled the looks with on trend monochromatic tones, animal prints and the slouch boot .

My beloved trench coat is a staple in my wardrobe. Its so versatile and can be taken from the office to evening drinks or even over my yoga outfit with ease. It’s the perfect trans-seasonal piece. This over sized trench is on trend in a beige shade and in an over sized cut so I can layer underneath easily. I picked this trench up from the Australian label Maurie and Eve last season but here is another great option to achieve the same look:

Zara Over sized trench coat $219.00 AUD

I paired my trench coat back with a long sleeved knit dress from Zara. Knits are a great addition to your wardrobe in the cooler months. I chose a natural shade in this dress to keep the autumn look monochromatic.

Zara Ribbed Dress $45.95

Zara Animal print loafer $49.95

Zimmermann belt bag

BOOTS ARE MADE FOR WALKING! I love boots in all cuts and finishes. The cooler months allow me to step up my shoe game and bring out my favourite boots. Boots are an investment piece so choose a good quality fabric, a comfortable height and they will see you through many seasons. This season boot styles will be seen in coloured leather, animal prints and slouch styles! My favourite! I paired my Zimmermann boots back with a denim mini dress and layered underneath with a blue collard shirt. Both from Zara.

Animal Print is strong this season and not just for the fashionably confident. If your a little on the animal shy side, go for the print on your accessories like a bag or shoes which can be a much smaller investment. Or if your a go hard or go home, introduce the print into your overall look. I loved these floating pants from Country Road. A great trans-seasonal piece that is flattering on all body shapes.
