Today was an opportunity to have a little ‘me’ time at the beautiful Youth Lab clinic in West Perth founded by Dr Kate Jameson. From the outside Youth Lab is housed in a charming character building, and once inside you are greeted by a relaxed and spacious reception, which is ultra modern. The stone clad front desk is refined and the plush furnishings add to the distinct charm. I was met by the most welcoming team members who looked after me the moment I arrived.
My treatment was the one-of-a kind facial rejuvenation procedure, the Hydrafacial followed by the Healite II LED machine. The Hydrafacial addresses many skin concerns and is the go-to treatment for clients wanting to unclog pores, plump fine lines, brighten skin tone, smooth skin texture, and rejuvenate skin.
My dermal therapist was the lovely Jenna, who before the treatment did a thorough skin analysis and we discussed my skin concerns. Firstly my skin was cleansed and then the facial had 4 stages, exfoliate the dead skin cells, extract any surface congestion and impurities, restore hydration and infuse active cosmeceutical ingredients. All of which was comfortable, non abrasive and very relaxing. Jenna talked through every step and answered any questions throughout the treatment. The facial was completed in around 30 minutes.
After the Hydrafacial was completed, I had a 15 minute Healite II treatment which involves a light treatment on the face. The Healite aids in recovery and enhances the Hydrafacial effects. For me, I find it helps any redness in my skin subside plus it’s very relaxing. I actually dozed off a few times!
When the Healite II treatment was complete, Jenna applied a hydrating serum, moisturizer and SPF cream. My skin was pink, but that was to be expected as my skin flushes very easily and the redness went down within 30 minutes. Post treatment I was offered a complementary shot of The Beauty Chef’s hydration inner beauty boost, which is an organic, bio-fermented, and coconut-infused probiotic designed to support gut health and enhance skin radiance. Result- My skin was glowing, rejuvenated, and hydrated. As you can see from my post picture my skin is red but the plumping effect is undeniable. The surface congestion I had on my chin was completely gone and my pores appeared smooth. I would recommend this treatment to anyone wanting to treat congestion, fine lines, improve texture and those just wanting a pre-event skin pick me up! The Youth Lab team also emailed a post treatment after care information sheet outlining all the do’s and dont’s following the treatment. Namely no sun exposure or the use of active skin care products. A must read following the treatment.
